Συγκέντρωση διαμαρτυρίας, ενάντια στο κλείσιμο της ΕΡΤ, πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Ναύπλιο, με αφορμή την ομιλία του πρωθυπουργού Α. Σαμαρά. Μεταξύ των συγκεντρωμένων, ήταν και εργαζόμενοι στην ΕΡΑ Τρίπολης. Έντονη ήταν η παρουσία των αστυνομικών δυνάμεων

«Δεν συνάδει με το δικαίωμα της αμερόληπτης ενημέρωσης των πολιτών» το κλείσιμο της ΕΡΤ, δήλωσε στο «Βήμα» ο υποψήφιος των Γερμανών Σοσιαλδημοκρατών Πέερ Στάινμπρουκ, επισημαίνοντας πως «είναι ανησυχητικό μήνυμα για τη δημοκρατία». «Η απόφαση για το κλείσιμο της ΕΡΤ είναι προβληματική, επειδή οι μόνοι τηλεοπτικοί σταθμοί που λειτουργούν τώρα είναι ιδιωτικοί. Κι αυτό εύκολα θα μπορούσε να παρεξηγηθεί ως προσπάθεια επηρεασμού του δημόσιου τρόπου ενημέρωσης, μιας ανεξάρτητης δηλαδή πηγής πληροφοριών, η οποία τίθεται κυριολεκτικά εκτός λειτουργίας», υπογραμμίζει.

In his article Mr. Samaras says that nobody respected the National Broadcaster for years and speaks of a recital of hypocrisy on the part of those who want it open, while noting that, with the judicial inquiry ordered by the District Attorney all will 'soon be informed on all those things thoroughly hidden for decades. And then the masks will fall and it will be proved why suddenly there is so much noise regarding the sinful ERT.

"We do not want elections. If Mr. Samaras selects the elections leading things the way he does, then he should take full responsibility, "says the chairman of the Democratic Left, Fotis Kouvelis, in an interview with Associated Press, on the course of events in ERT. He also notes that the governmental intra friction is not only the result of the Samaras decision to shut down the public broadcaster.

Ανυποχώρητος στην απόφασή του για το κλείσιμο της ΕΡΤ, εμφανίστηκε ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς από το βήμα του προσυνεδρίου της ΝΔ στο Ναύπλιο, επισημαίνοντας πως δεν θα μας εγκλωβίσουν σε έκτακτες εκλογές. Τόνισε ότι αυτή τη στιγμή "βρισκόμαστε σε πολύ κρίσιμη καμπή" και πως "έχουμε δύο δρόμους είτε να προχωρήσουμε σε μεταρρυθμίσεις είτε να συμβιβαστούμε με εκείνους που δεν θέλουν να αλλάξει τίποτα στον τόπο. Εμείς δεν θα συμβιβαστούμε με τους βολεμένους, έτσι απλά". "Καταργούμε την ΕΡΤ, και στη θέση της δημιουργούμε μια νέα, αδέσμευτη και ανεξάρτητη δημόσια τηλεόραση, απαλλαγμένη από τα κυκλώματα, και η οποία μπορεί να ξεκινήσει να λειτουργεί σε μια εβδομάδα μέσω της μεταβατικής πρότασης που έκανα". Υποστήριξε δε, ότι "η ΕΡΤ δεν είναι η αιτία αυτού που γίνεται σήμερα, δεν είναι το πρόβλημα, αλλά το πρόσχημα. Είναι μια υποκρισία απροκάλυπτη". "Είναι σωστό, είναι δίκαιο και έπρεπε να είχε γίνει από χρόνια. Δεν χρειαζόταν να μας το ζητήσει κανείς. Δεν είχαμε άλλη επιλογή και ήταν αδικία να μην πειράξουμε τους βολεμένους. Πρέπει να πέσει το κάστρο των βολεμένων", είπε χαρακτηριστικά ο Α. Σαμαράς.

Στις 11 το πρωί ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς αναμένεται να πραγματοποιήσει ομιλία στο προσυνέδριο της Νέας Δημοκρατίας στο Ναύπλιο με Θέμα: "Συνταγματική Μεταρρύθμιση", όπου και θα απευθύνει νέο προσκλητήριο προς Βενιζέλο-Κουβέλη να αποδεχθούν το σχέδιο του για την ΕΡΤ, μία ημέρα πριν την κρίσιμη συνάντηση των τριών κυβερνητικών εταίρων στο Μαξίμου.

Ο πρωθυπουργός σε άρθρο του στην «Καθημερινή της Κυριακής» ξεκαθαρίζει ότι δεν είναι διατεθειμένος να κάνει πίσω στο θέμα του λουκέτου στην ΕΡΤ.

"He is in political and social isolation and tries to react in high tones. He thinks he can  face the society which stands against him this way".

Fully informed about the developments in Athens, is the German Chancellor, said government spokesman Steffen Seibert, noting that there has not been any direct information from  the Greek Prime Minister. When asked if there was any telephone communication between Ms Merkel and the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras,  the issue of ERT contacting Ms Merkel Samaras, the answer of the spokesman of the German Chancellor was "not the last days".

The German Chancellor considers that the decision to ERT is the sole responsibility of the Greek government.

"Of course this act is associated with the framework agreed to job cuts in the public sector, but this measure was not discussed with the German government and the Troika, but taken by the Greek government," explained Mr Seibert.

SYRIZA refiriéndose al discurso de Antonis Samaras en el Congreso de la juventud de su partido comentaron que sus declaraciones muestran el pánico y la presión que se le ejerce por la solidaridad y  la defensa de la democracia por parte del pueblo griego.

Anotan que: “Está aislado política y socialmente y reacciona agresivamente. Tiene la impresión de que con la agresividad podrá hacer frente a la crítica de la sociedad”.
